How does purchase protection work?

Purchase protection allows you to be reimbursed for the cost to repair or place an item that  was purchased in full with the Greenlight card if the item is damaged or stolen within 120 days of the date of purchase or delivery of the item (whichever is earlier), up to $100 per item and an aggregate maximum of $1,000 per card per calendar year. Once signed up for Greenlight Max, you will be automatically enrolled into this coverage. 

If you have a claim, it must be filed no later than 60 days after the date of event triggering  the coverage. To file a claim: 

  1. Navigate to the Settings page by clicking the Settings gear icon at the top right of your  Parent Dashboard.
  2. Scroll to the Profile & Account section and click on “Mobile device & purchase protection.” 
  3. From here, you will see the phone number to call to file a claim as well as a link to the full guide of benefits. 

Unfortunately at this time, this benefit is not available to residents of New York.
